North Park
Orienteering Training Day
21 May 2023

It was a very nice day for orienteering, sunny with temperature in the mid 60s.  Despite the weather, nearly half of the preregistered people did not show up.  We did have a total of 50 participants.
There were 17 people for the first beginner session and 9 for the second session.  There were 11 for the intermediate session.  The remainder were doing one or more of the advanced exercises:  15 people on
the Trail-less course, 9 on the Hiker's Quest and 6 on the Donut course.

Joe Logan designed the beginners course and the three advanced exercises.  Joe also taught the two beginner sessions; in addition, Sherry Shank taught a beginner session.  Jim Wolfe designed and taught the instruction
session.  There are no results for any of the courses as there were no official starts.

Thanks to Alexis Rzewski for vetting the courses.  Thanks to Loretta Opila and Ryan Repp for handling registration.  Thanks to Ryan Knecht and Lee Bash for helping with getting people out on the advanced  courses.  And thanks to Dave Battista, Lee Bash, Yaki Barak and John Pane for doing control pick-up.
