Orienteering Meet
The temperature wasn't bad
(mid-50's); but it rained all day. The weather in combination
with the events in Pittsburgh and perhaps other things made
Heritage one of our lowest attended events ever. We had only
18 starts from 24 participants. Everyone got wet but seemed to
have a good time. We had only one glitch as one of the control
boxes misbehaved. But it was replaced and the results were
adjusted to reflect that several people had visited that control
before it was replaced.
Kevin Fisher set five courses over the fairly flat and frequently
sloppy terrain of Heritage Reservation. All who went out on them
seemed to enjoy them. We had two "ringers" from Sweden who showed
everyone how it is done on the Advanced Long course.
