Election of at-large Board Members (action required)
The current at-large board members are Sherry Shank and Kevin Fisher.
3. Report
on Past Year's Achievements
- 6 regular
orienteering events were held; the training day was canceled due to Covid-19; and Raccoongaine was delayed until June.
- 2 new permanent courses were developed (one at Beaver County Conservation District, already installed
and one at Bradys Run Park, not yet installed) and 1 urban treasure hunt
remained available from 2020. The two permanent courses at Yellow Creek were updated and three new control posts were installed.
- 7 orienteering workshop
exercises were held; 2 training sessions for BSA leaders were given; and 1 presentation was made
- Club maps:
Field checking of the Babcock Division of Gallitzin State Forest
was completed for the mini-rogaine to be held in 2022; a map of the
Churchhill Valley Greenway was completed; updates were made to Yellow
Creek North and South - all by Jim Wolfe. Joe Logan made
updates to the Deer Lakes map. Alexis Rezewski made updates to the Bradys Run Park map and the South Park map (still under development).

5. Board Actions over the
past year
- There were no voted-on actions by the board in 2021.
- Jim Wolfe
informed the board about changes he was making to the club Website.
These changes began in late 2020 and continued throughout 2021.
Many pages are now dynamic (i.e., created when you click on the
link) and a collection of management pages have been created so that less specialized knowledge is required to make recurring updates
to the web pages.
6. Financial and Membership Reports (attached)
- For Discussion: What should we spend money on?
Donations to parks? Donation to Orienteering USA? T-shirts? Uniforms?
7. Goals for 2022
- Hold as many local events as we can within Covid-19 guidelines
- Hold
workshops and promotional events
for orienteering;
- Increase
club membership and volunteerism at meets
